Based in southeastern Massachusetts and formed in 2015 by some of the area's most accomplished musicians, Hit Play has quickly earned a solid reputation as one of the hottest live wedding and event party bands in New England. The band’s leader, guitarist and singer, Ryan McHugh is well known in the Boston area for his ability to entertain a room by utilizing his 22 years of experience working professionally in the live music industry. Drawing on this experience, Hit Play performs in top club venues from Boston to Newport and at top wedding venues all over New England. The band is well known for their incredibly versatile repertoire - consisting of anything from rock, pop, funk, country, alternative and hip-hop to name a few. Ryan will work with you to select the perfect song choices for your event. Unlike most Boston wedding bands that have a set list of songs that vary only a little from one event to another, the band can call from a variety of genres during performances to perfectly fit the crowd and the vibe of your event. ★★★★ Fantastic experience with Hit Play

Hit Play played our wedding of approximately 75 people in September. Throughout the planning process, Ryan, the band leader, was incredibly responsive. We had several meetings in the months/weeks leading up to the event to iron out details and discuss logistics. On the actual day, the band did a fantastic job taking our do-not-play list and developing a perfect set list for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The dancefloor was packed the whole night despite the relatively small number of guests. Book without hesitation.

We cannot say enough about Ryan and Hit Play! We hired them for our June wedding in Massachusetts and they completely blew us away. They had the dance floor packed the entire night. Ryan and his band absolutely blew all expectations I had out of the water. When it came to music and entertainment I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. Ryan was happy to help offer suggestions on intro songs when we couldn’t decide and it was exactly what we wanted. All of the guests danced the night away and had so much fun! I can’t wait to have an excuse to have another event so that we can have Hit Play come and perform again. Our day was absolutely perfect and a big part of that was due to Hit Play. Ryan and the band are excellent and absolutely made the night memorable. I would give them 10 stars if I could!
